Jeffrey Khau

PMB Student


Jeffrey is a PhD student in the Program in Molecular Biophysics (PMB). He is from San Ramon, California, and earned his BA in Biophysics with a concentration in Mathematics from Columbia University in 2023. As an undergraduate and research technician, he worked in Dr. Alexander Sobolevsky’s lab on TRP channel structure and function. Jeffrey joined the O’Brien Lab in May 2025, where he is investigating GPCR allostery and signaling using cryo-EM, biochemical, and cell-based approaches.
Fun fact: Jeffrey is a second-degree black belt in karate.
